Weeks after George Floyd’s death, a black man in Atlanta, unprovoked, punched a police officer, stole his Taser, ran and tried to tase another officer, challenging the notion that the killing was racially motivated. But we’ll filter it through a narrative of race, thank you very much. This growing aversion to critical thinking nurtures extremism and is not in our collective interest.
