A homicide investigation in Sudan involving the murder of Amna Al-Sharif, wife of a prominent businessman. She was found strangled in her bedroom, with a large sum of money stolen from a closet, initially prompting suspicion toward the family’s maids or a recently hired carpenter. A forensics report later suggested the theft was staged, shifting suspicion to the victim’s daughter-in-law, Dr. Ryan Mukhtar, a gynecologist with pre-existing conflicts with her mother-in-law. Motivated by threats of divorce, Mukhtar planned the murder to frame others but was caught due to inconsistencies in her statements and a fingerprint on the closet.
