On the latest episode of the "Ride Boundless" podcast, I had the pleasure of speaking with Claudia Agraz, a candidate running for State Senate District 26 in the November 8th election in Los Angeles, California. Claudia shared with me her motivations for running for office and her priorities as a candidate.
Claudia decided to run for office after witnessing the negative impacts of certain policies and bureaucracy on businesses in California. She cited the overtaxing of businesses and the increase in crime as a result of Prop 47 and the removal of parental rights as major issues that prompted her to take action.
As a candidate, Claudia is focused on public safety, keeping businesses in California, and protecting parental rights. She believes that these issues are critical to the well-being and prosperity of the state and its residents.
Claudia's opponent, the incumbent, has consistently voted to eliminate parental rights in bills, allowing children to make their own mental, medical, and life-altering physical transformations without parental consent. The incumbent has also voted in favor of Bill AB 05, which would make it illegal for independent truckers in California to work independently. This could have a detrimental effect on our resources and food prices.
If you live in District 26 neighborhoods, including Mid-City Hancock Park, East Hollywood, Los Feliz, Eagle Rock Highland Park, Pico-Union, City of Vernon, and all of NELA in the East Los Angeles neighborhoods, I encourage you to learn more about Claudia Agraz and consider supporting her campaign.
