It’s been a weird week for the New York Red Bulls. They beat Benefica 2-1 in the International Champions Cup. Sean Davis went off and played well in the Chipotle Homegrown Game. Dax McCarty went off and played well in the MLS All-Star Game. They had no MLS match to speak of, so they got to rest. Oh, they also signed Shaun Wright-Phillips, and are reported to sign a Designated Player in Gonzalo Veron. All of this while not selling off their young guys.
