01:28:04 - Theological Digging Deeper Class: Brother Ernest Introduces the topic on the doctrine of Grace and his doctrinal disagreement with Pastor Joshua Selma. He demonstrates that there are certain attributes that we have as Christians that if you had them in any other places outside of Christianity, outside of being under the umbrella of Jesus, then it becomes demonic. He introduces
1. Having a "Holier than thou" belief system
2. Believing that we are gods
People who have a "holier-than-thou" attitude are known to be narcissistic. But if a non-believer stands in front of me who believes that I am righteous by faith-in-Jesus, then that is the truth. I am holier than a non-believer and my attitude should demonstrate that truthful reality. In loving my neighbours and praying for those who spitefully use me.
People in history who believed they were gods such as kings, pharaohs and caesars, all were prideful and did great harm to others to cover for their shortcomings. But we as Christians believe that we are gods for we are of the family of Yahweh.
Brother Ernest uses this principle to introduce a 3rd concept
3. Shamelessness
He demonstrates with evidence bible passages that Jesus does not want us to have an evil-conscience so that we may approach His throne boldly and obtain mercy for our shortcomings. He believes that the Grace of God cannot be abused when over-injested. Knowing of the Grace of God and limiting its usage in your life is where the "abuse" is.
If you have a problem saying "no" to sin ... drink more God's Grace
If you have a sin compulsion problem ... drink more of God's Love
If you have a repentance problem problem ... drink more of God's Goodness.
There are things that God hates, but He wants you to know Him as "God is Love".
There are people that God kills, but He wants you to know Him as "God is Life".
There are some people that God abandons, but He wants you to know Him as a saviour
God takes no pleasure in identifying with the death of sinners. But Your Heavenly father takes pleasure in showing you His Positive Countenance face of smiling and taking joy in you through Jesus Christ.
