Boxing day is a special day on the English football calendar. Especially exciting this year because the domestic calendar was interrupted by the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Boxing Day is the first round of fixtures for the clubs as the league season restarts. Arsenal, still 5 points clear at the top of the table will look to continue their impressive start to the season as they host West Ham. Manchester City, who currently sit second will not actually play until Wednesday as Pep and the men travel to Leeds. Elsewhere, Chelsea face Bournemouth at the Bridge and Tottenham travel across town to Brentford. Leicester City welcome Newcastle to the King Power stadium in a match that should be a good one. 

A recurrent theme in the conversation this week is how this restart almost feels like the start of a new season. Will the clubs be able to rely on momentum they built up in the first 14/15 games and channel it into positive momentum going into the second half of the season.
