The winter transfer market is finally closed and once again the English Premier League spend astronomical money compared to their European counterparts. Chelsea have spend just over 300m and look to rebuild their squad and season; will their new signings be able to spark Chelsea into a Champions League spot for next season? While Manchester City and Liverpool had relatively quite ends to the transfer window, Arsenal and Tottenham both added players that will provide good depth for their squad. Throughout the league, many teams spent quite a tidy sum on arriving players. Teams in the relegation battle have used the January window to try and win the right to remain in the Premier League next season - will this spending come back to bite them if they go down?
