Manchester United is the gift that keeps giving. Even with all their major players away at the Qatar 2022 World Cup, Manchester United have sacked Cristiano Ronaldo and the Glazer Family - current owners of United - have begun the process of selling the club. The two biggest clubs in English football, both currently owned by American investment groups, have been put up for sale over the course of three weeks. Are both of these situations mere coincidence or is this the result of the ESL failing to take off? The Glazers could be in for a huge payday, if they can manage to find the right buyer for the club. 

Meanwhile in Qatar, games are ongoing. Upsets have taken place and teams are looking to secure points over the weekend to help bolster their shot at advancing to the knockout stage of this World Cup. Friday sees pivotal matches in Group B take place with England and the USA squaring off while Wales and Iran lock horns.
