Spirulina always aroused intrigue among scientists and researchers for its application in food & beverage, healthcare, and personal care industries. Many organizations have been providing necessary funding for development of innovative solutions. The production of spirulina biomass has become possible through a project that assessed physical and chemical characteristics of spirulina and successfully produced a short amount of biomass. The project is aimed at bridging the suppy-demand gap in the industry. The newly developed product has been scaled up to a ton.
