Alex and Jason discuss the very first episode of Red Dwarf
In episode 1 our two main character Lister and Rimmer are introduced along with the soon to be dead, entire crew of Jupiter Mining Vessel- Red Dwarf.
A major catastrophe happens killing the crew and Rimmer. Lister, however, was in stasis as punishment for hiding a pregnant cat on board which means He survives but awakens from stasis 3 million years later with a skeleton company; only a senile ships computer, a hologram of deceased Rimmer and a lifeform evolved from the pregnant cat.
