This is a SPOILER review of Re-Animator, a film by Stuart Gordon and Brian Yuzna, based on H. P. Lovecraft's serial novelette "Herbert West–Reanimator". It's a film about bringing the dead back to life with terrible consequences, as well as redefining what 'giving head' can truly mean.

Log-line: After an odd new medical student arrives on campus, a dedicated local and his girlfriend become involved in bizarre experiments centering around the re-animation of dead tissue.

He and his classmate Dan Cain (Bruce Abbott) begin to test the serum on dead human bodies, and conflict with Dr. Carl Hill (David Gale), who is infatuated with Cain's fiancée (Barbara Crampton) and wants to claim the invention as his own.

Originally devised by Gordon as a theatrical stage production and later a half-hour television pilot, the television script was revised to become a feature film.
