With the final chapter in the Book of Nehemiah, we find the spiritual integrity of Israel diminished and the joy of the Lord all but gone. Nehemiah, however, is not surprised by setbacks, nor is he deterred. As a hope-based creature he simply continues the work of the Lord. (Nehemiah 13:4-14)
