This week, we continue our RE series by talking about another significant word found throughout the Scriptures: Renew. It’s a fact of life — things wear out. Whether jeans, cars, houses, or ink pens, they get old and stop working. No problem, right? We can just replace them with newer versions! But what do we do when we start wearing out? What do we do when we start feeling exhausted and rundown spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically? Most of us start getting new stuff…anything to make us feel “new” on the inside. Or we take a vacation, read a book, veg on the couch. We try to renew ourselves, but it doesn’t work. If you want to be renewed, there’s only one way for that to happen: Go to God!
