Re-tired Ep. 085: Those Who Stayed A Vietnam Diary by Claudia Krich

Listen Later

Congratulations to friend Claudia Krich! Her newly published book is about her experience during and after the fall of Saigon in April of 1975. She and her husband were directors of the American Friends (Quaker) Service Committee program in Vietnam. They ran a large civilian physical rehabilitation center in the town of Quang Ngai. Most of their patients had lost limbs caused by landmines. Claudia and her small team were in Saigon when the war ended and they witnessed the collapse of the South Vietnamese government and the takeover by the Provisional Revolutionary Government. Claudia chronicled it all in her diary, including details and information that, until now, have been left out of the history books.
