This message continues a sermon series for the season of Advent. In this message, Dr. Childs shares reactions from several points of view regarding the Christ Child:
Reaction 1 -- Herod -- The Ship Captains. Don't know, don't care. Will not accept threats to authority. We don't want someone else to run our lives. God wants to direct all areas of our lives. We all have a bit of Herod in us.
Reaction 2 -- Scribes -- The 'Church' Crowd. Do know, don't care. Very religious, but don't really care about Jesus. Bible scholars. They did not care enough to see if the Shepherds' claims were true, if Messiah really was in Bethlehem, to meet Christ themselves.
Reaction 3 -- Magi -- The True Worshipers. Do know, do care. Overjoyed to see the star. They are excited, they have passion. They traveled months to worship Him only once.
