"I was autistic but I didn't even know it" - autistic authors are more special than you realise they are!

In this month's episode of the Social Wave Project, I interview Holly Smale, author of the Geek Girl and Valentines book series. In the interview, Holly discuss about her recent autism diagnosis, why children, and teenagers have struggled reading in school and during the pandemic; and her careers as a model and published author.

This episode is filmed as part of two summer series for the UK's Reading Agency event called the Summer Reading Challenge. The Summer Reading Challenge focuses on children under 11 years to encourage them to read during the school summer holidays. They centre on a variety of themes - this year being Wild World Heroes.
