Hello to all the viewers and listeners of the Aaron's Opinion podcast. I think literacy is important because in enables people to gain information which can become knowledge, or for the sake of leisure or pure interest. I am very much a braille reader, but think being able to read in whatever form that takes is important to know how things are spelled and to better make sense of grammar. However, I also think audio has a place as you can hear the pronunciation of the words, which will perhaps sound different in different accents or dialects. I also run a braille pen pals facebook group, for those who enjoy writing letters in braille and would like to have some pen pals around the world to write to. In a little over a year, our group has grown to 40 members.
