There is a fundamental flaw in the way that my fellow citizens are viewing this Corona Virus Crisis. Their underlying assumption is that if they turn over the response to the pandemic to the authorities and the experts, that those authorities and experts will save us from harm.

I see this in social media every day. The mantra of stay at home, and save a life is repeated over and over. Self isolation it is claimed will save both us, and the people that we may infect.

And it certainly seems like a noble cause.
