We grow up hearing the same thing over and over:

“Be nice.” “Be fair.” “Do the right thing, and things will work out.”

But the truth is…

Life is not fair.

It never has been.

It never will be.

Fairness is a word we created… to try to make sense of a world that never agreed to it.

Storms don’t check if you’re a good person. Accidents don’t care about your intentions. And people?

People are unpredictable.

Some are kind.

Some are broken.

Some are dangerous.

And if you build your life on the assumption that everything will be fair…

You will be caught off guard.
