Brooks Blake in conversation with Basil Demeroutis
Brooks has over 20 years of investment banking and private equity experience. Brooks currently leads real estate investing for Kew Capital LLP, a large single-family office based in London. Prior to Kew, Brooks led real asset investments for the Bain Capital family office based in Boston. Earlier in his career, he worked as a senior private equity real estate executive and led over nine million square feet of development.
Brooks earned an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School and a dual degree in Economics and Political Science with Honours and Distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar.

After graduating with a BSc in Mechanical & Aerospace engineering from Cornell University in 1991. Basil spent the first half of his career in banking until he moved to the buy-side in 2002.
Over the last fourteen years, he has worked exclusively with private investors on their real estate strategies initially as a partner at Jargonnant Partners, the European real estate club where he shared responsibility for acquiring, managing and successfully exiting a 400 million European property portfolio. After disposing of their investments in 2007, Basil moved in-house with one of his capital partners, Capricorn Investment Group, the family office of Jedd Skoll. With backing from Capricorn, Basil st up FORE in 2012.
