Real Life
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” – John 10:10.
Have you ever stopped to think about what it really means to live? Most people think abundant life means money, fame, or doing whatever you want. But is that all there is?
Jesus shows us a clear contrast: the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. And he doesn’t wear a mask or carry a weapon — he shows up as quick pleasure, easy shortcuts, and empty promises. The enemy wants to steal your joy, kill your identity, and destroy your peace. He shows up now and then, but always leaves destruction behind.
But the Good Shepherd, Jesus, is with us daily. He walks with us through struggles and victories. He doesn’t want to control you — He wants to restore you. He wants you to truly live.
The life Jesus offers goes beyond the physical. Yes, He healed people — but more than that, He restores tired minds, heals broken hearts, and fills the emptiness in your soul. Abundant life doesn’t mean a problem-free life — it means a life with purpose, direction, and peace even in the middle of chaos.
God wants you strong — not just on the outside, but on the inside. He wants your mind to grow, your choices to be wise, and your potential to be used fully. But above all, He wants your spirit alive, filled with His presence.
Don’t settle for just surviving. Don’t accept the crumbs the enemy throws your way. Jesus offers a full table — a life full of truth, love, and eternity.
Today, choose the Shepherd. Live for real. Live with Jesus.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I don’t want to live fooled by empty promises. Take away anything that steals my peace and pulls me away from You. Teach me how to live the abundant life You promised — in every thought, every choice, every step. I give You my heart, my mind, and my future. I want to truly live, with You. Amen.
