Psalms 127:3-5
Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.
Deuteronomy 6:7
You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
God’s grace is His unmerited favor. Grace means that God showered favor and blessing on those who did not in any way deserve or earn it.
John 1:14-16
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ ” And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.
Hebrews 1:3
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
Grace releases security.
Grace releases empowerment.
Grace releases forgiveness.
Grace releases provision and opportunity.
Question:
Do we parent our kids like the Father parents us? Or are we stuck in old paradigms of how we parent because maybe that’s what we experienced?
Big Idea:
The Father is revealing how He parents us so we can join Him.
3 to Go:
1. Parent from a place of Grace, not frustration.
2. Have fun with your kids.
3. Receive the Father’s Grace over your life!
