Hello and welcome to Season 3 – Episode 25 of Two Fat Expats, where we believe everyone should live a fat expat life. We did a bait and switch for this week’s episode, while we had planned an epic episode about your favourite holiday destinations, real life got the front seat and we swerved around holidays, to land on the current situation in the Middle East (no we’re not a political podcast now) and what the reactions are of expats when their immediate circumstances change in ways over which they have no control. Kirsty is of course in Qatar, which for the last week has been cut off from it’s Middle Eastern neighbours in a diplomatic situation that as of yet has no immediate solution. For this week’s podcast we spoke to Bec in Abu Dhabi, who was a brand new expat living in a hotel in Bangkok when the most recent coup occurred. We also had many fascinating responses from the post on 4 kids, 20 suitcases and a beagle that we share with our listeners.
