This conversation had many going through a roller coaster ride of emotions. Philly native Will Latif Little shared his very challenging upbringing being raised by his single mother and aunt(grandma) in a racist society that helped to create the very environment he had to navigate his way through day in and day out. His stories that he shared made me upset, sad and angry all at the same time. Even though his experiences that he disclosed should not be the norm for any human being he was still able to turn his pain into purpose. This is why people call him the Philly Healer. He is definitely in the business of helping our underserved communities get the help and support they need so they don't have to continuously suffer through trauma and they can begin to live as healthy and whole human beings. He also talked about both of the books that he's written and how not only were those books helpful to the community they were also therapeutic and healing for him as well. Make sure to grab your notebooks and pens because the gems that are being dropped are simply life changing.
