Psalm 51 is no doubt one of the most familiar Psalms for us. Luther said it
was the most frequently sung of all the Psalms.
It deals with something that is universally experienced—how do we as the
people of God deal with our sin? It is ever-present with us. We find it
there on a daily basis lingering and lurking alongside us and dampening our
desires to please the Lord.
And so, we need help in dealing with sin rightly.
