Meet Casey Winders!

Casey is a sports marketing professional currently serving as the Marketing & Community Engagement Coordinator for the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL. 🏒

A 2025 graduate of the University of Iowa with a degree in Marketing and a minor in Sport & Recreation Management, Casey got her start in hockey working as a Marketing Assistant for the Iowa Heartlanders of the ECHL.

In this episode, we talk about being early in your career, figuring things out as you go, building a career in sports, and all the fun (and chaos) we experienced working in the ECHL.

From playing hockey at the University of Michigan to building a career in graphic design, digital marketing, photography & videography, Sophie has made her mark on the creative side of sports.

She’s also a Level 4 USA Hockey Coach, coaching youth and collegiate women’s programs since 2021! 💪

And when she’s not working or coaching, she’s hanging with her dog Sully 🐶 or reading a good book! 📚

Sabrina is the Director of Marketing for Villanova Athletics, where she oversees the promotional and social media presence for football and women’s basketball. Her career has taken her through the Air Force Academy, independent league baseball, and Temple University, giving her a unique perspective on working in the sports industry.

A former collegiate softball player, Sabrina holds a Master’s in Sports Business from Temple University and a Bachelor’s in Communication from Eastern University. Originally from Maple Shade, NJ, she’s just as happy spending a quiet night with a book and her cats as she is game-planning the next big event for the Wildcats.
