In 2021, Andrew spent four months in two of Sydney’s maximum-security prisons for the commercial supply of psychedelic drugs.

While incarcerated, Andrew began noticing the transportive power of laughter. After all, if a joke can make you forget you’re in prison, what else can it do?

Upon his release, Andrew took up stand-up comedy, initially under strict bail conditions where his parents had to come with him to shows, and he had to be home in time for curfew.

Since then, Andrew has become a regular in Sydney comedy clubs, recently completing sold out shows at Sydney Comedy Festival, and Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Andrew’s critically acclaimed debut solo show, “Jokes About the Time I Went to Prison”, earned him a nomination for Best Newcomer in Melbourne.

Danielle Hogan opens up on her incredible journey.

Having spent her childhood lost and eventually in the wrong crowd of people she was soon led down a path of selling drugs to the upper class of the eastern suburbs here in Sydney Australia.

Coming clean to her parents as the guilt sets in she was caught several weeks later by police and spent time in a female prison in NSW. Since leaving she's turned her life around and works as a youth worker and personal trainer out of https://www.confitgym.com.au/ where she also runs programs out of juvenile detention centres building young peoples self-esteem and acting as a role model and mentor to which they most likely do not have outside of prison.

Mark Lovell is a former Royal Marines Commando and embarked on military operations including Herrick 9 to name a few. Where his career led him toward security operations in the maritime sector during the "boom" before leaving military style life. 

A husband, father of 2 and multiple business owner who owns a chain of barber shops and a gym. He talks about the struggles he had in finding his community and identity after the military. Which is something a lot of veterans struggle with.

This path let him down heavy drinking and drug use, being surrounded by the wrong crowd before he reached a pivotal moment where he sought counselling and ultimately found his passion and love for fitness and 1-1 lifestyle coaching. 

Mark is now in the fortunate position where he can pursue his passion in helping others through his experience and self-development journey.

Dave Coleman is former British Commando who served in warzones such as Afghanistan during Op Herrick 14. He was a Long Range Rifleman. Injured in a Grenade blast on a Company Operation but managed to Return to the Frontline a month later.

He's been on Migrant Rescue Missions, Saving Migrants who were Stranded at Sea in fishing vessels during Severe Storms.

Since then he's been through what most would call "An adjustment to civilian life" and found it tough in the first few years. Russell Manser, an ex-bank robber and prison escapee now fights for survivors’ reparation by helping victims access justice through the legal system.

Russell Manser, himself a survivor of institutional child sexual abuse, is a committed champion for the rights of others who have experienced these traumatic and painful abuses.

Growing up in western Sydney, Russell was committed by a Children’s Court Magistrate to the adult Long Bay Jail, despite having just turned 17 years old.

He was housed with some of the state’s worst sex offenders, resulting in him being sexually abused repeatedly. His eventual heroin dependence also started there, after his abusers injected him several times with the drug.

Prior to this, Russell had already been struggling to cope with the trauma and anger of having been sexually abused in Daruk, the notorious juvenile detention centre.

After 23 years in and out of prison, Manser spoke at the Royal commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. He handed the backpack of shame and guilt back where it belongs, to the perpetrators and those who should have ensured his care.

Jeffrey Morgan notorious bank robber now business coach

His past couldn’t be more different to his life now. Growing up in Redfern, a notoriously disadvantaged inner-city neighbourhood, Jeff was surrounded by bad habits, unhealthy diets and poor mental health. His home life was rough and tough. There was little to eat and a fair share of abuse. By the age of 12, Jeff was living on the streets, where he quickly lost the rest of his youth to a life of crime.

Jeff’s biggest life lessons came from holding himself accountable after 18 years in and out of the custody of Australia’s maximum-security prisons from 1992 until 2010. During that period, Jeff missed opportunities and precious time with family. His parents died of cancer, his brother and sister were lost to suicide, and most recently, another brother passed away due to a preventative health issue.

Learning to believe in himself, thanks to support from mentors and educational opportunities, helped flip Jeff’s mindset and redirect his destructive life path towards a new reality.

Lloyd Kay is the director of Sydney Piling construction firm, a successful company built literally from the ground up, which is now one of leading piling businesses in New South Wales. 

But life wasn't always so good growing up in a rough part of the United Kingdom. At a young age Lloyd was exposed to some pretty horrific circumstances and his father was convicted of the manslaughter of his girlfriend (at the time Lloyd thought this was his mother). After that he was exposed to an extreme media outburst as his father made front page news and the house was surrounded by journalists... while his father was in prison he moved around a lot and got into selling drugs, violence and was essentially became a lost kid clinging onto the wrong crowd.

He talks about his struggles and how he came to realisation that his circumstances shouldn't be an excuse to not become something of himself in life. That's when he took a 1 way ticket to Sydney, Australia and never looked back...
