Real Women | EP 04 - Understanding Relationships with Men l Steph Ransom
No matter what age or season you are in, a topic that interests women of all ages is understanding men and how we are called to come alongside men, particularly in the vocation of marriage. This can be tricky in this modern-day world because we are focused on ourselves and what makes us happy. So, the question for women today is: who will you be and who are you being for the men in your life? How will you show up in your marriage and relationships so that they can be a witness to those around you? Hosts, Karen Doyle and Von Hosking are joined by guest, Steph Ransom, to navigate and break down this topic further.
Steph Ransom works in youth ministry with a focus on facilitating programs on the topics of love, sex, and healthy relationships for high school students. She has worked with the Archdiocese of Canberra in marriage and family ministry. Steph is passionate about applying the theology of the body to all seasons of life. She became Catholic during her last year in high school and so the concept of discerning a vocation was new to her. When she met her now husband, they choose to be intentional about dating and surrounded themselves with good mentor couples; this helped her understand what marriage might look like for them.
Did you know that there are divorce coaches instead of marriage coaches? The number of divorces skyrocketed during the pandemic. Marriage is a communion of love, and it’s not meant to be lived out in isolation as it’s meant to be lived out with a greater community. As Catholics, we are set apart, and our marriages are meant to be a sign and a symbol of God’s love. The wedding day is only the beginning of marriage and a beautiful journey of lifelong love.
