Navigating higher education is difficult enough. This episode is intended to bring awareness to the realities of navigating higher education while experiencing food insecurities and being houseless. How do these experiences impact ones mental health and what can we be doing more of as a community to not only support higher education but to ensure students have their basic needs met.

This episodes guest is Justin Bowman, Justin shares his own personal experience of financial insecurity while in college and how that experienced lead him to start his non-profit Someone Cares.

Justin Bowman grew up in Riverside, California where he also attended California Baptist University, earning his Bachelors in Communications, and Masters in Public Relations. He has worked in entertainment PR for a short time, until he learned that the lifestyle wasn’t for him. Simultaneously, Justin enjoyed success as a lifestyle print model appearing in magazines, and billboards throughout the country. Currently, Justin is working in the mortgage industry, as he prepares for the launch of his non-profit Someone Cares, which caters to underserved college students.
