This is the Real Talk Tru Talk podcast hosted by Watson. Where I talk about what's it like being a young adult living freely, authentically, and unashamed of God. Join me on this journey.
Broadcasting is now a vital part of church ministry. From livestreams and sound to cameras, social media, and video editing, media helps the church reach people both inside and outside the building.
In this episode of The Influence Project, we explore why young people should be involved in church broadcasting from an early age. Young people are not just the future of the church — they are an important part of the church right now. They bring creativity, energy, fresh ideas, and a natural understanding of the digital world.
By giving young people opportunities in broadcasting, churches can help them build confidence, develop their talents, and discover that their gifts can be used to serve God. Not every young person will stand on a stage, but many can make a powerful impact behind the scenes through media, helping to spread messages of hope, faith, and truth to new audiences.
This conversation also highlights how young people understand how to connect with their generation. They know the platforms, the styles, and the content that speaks to people their age. When churches intentionally train, encourage, and trust young people, they are investing in the future and raising a generation ready to serve, lead, and use their influence for good.
When young people are empowered, the church becomes stronger and its message reaches further.

This episode explores Watson’s Church theme of the year, “Get In and Take Ownership,” drawing from Genesis 13:14–17 and calling believers to embrace both their spiritual and practical responsibilities as Christians. Titled Travel with the Gospel, in this episode, Watson encourages listeners to carry their Bible, engage consistently with Scripture through reading and note-taking, and revisit Sunday sermons throughout the week in order to remain spiritually equipped.
Watson emphasizes the importance of being prepared for spiritual warfare, confidently sharing the gospel with others, and living out one’s faith without shame. He also highlights the value of prayer, active participation in church connect groups, and the faithful stewardship of the gifts God has entrusted to each believer. The host warns us that neglecting or burying those gifts hinders both personal growth and the advancement of God’s mission. Ultimately, the episode underscores that consistent daily engagement with the gospel strengthens faith and prepares believers for the ultimate goal of entering God’s presence.
The episode titled "Front Line Till The Very End" marks the return of the podcast Real Talk Tru Talk after a long hiatus since August 9th, 2024. The host Watson expresses excitement about reconnecting with the audience and sharing personal experiences and insights about faith. Watson reflects on the challenges he faced during the break, including feelings of exhaustion and self-doubt that hindered their ability to create new content. Mr Watson emphasises the importance of discussing God and sharing the gospel, recognizing that he had allowed distractions and complacency to interfere with their mission. They resolve to recommit to their purpose as a Christian and to fight against spiritual challenges, likening their journey to that of a soldier for God. The episode concludes with a call to action for listeners to share the message and engage with the podcast as it embarks on its third season.
