  • Terence McKenna: Eros and the Eschaton
    Some Terence-isms from this talk:
"Out of complexity emerges greater complexity"
"What's so great about media? It's the spreading of darkness at the speed of light" (technically a quote relayed in the lecture cited from a 'someone')
"The way to do psychedelics is at higher doses than people are used to"
Terence gives a 2hr lecture digressing through a range of topics related to critiquing the scientific outlook, the human species' place in time on this planet, where ideas are taking us, and of course psychedelics.

  • Who Killed John F Kennedy and Why the Truth Still Matters

The JFK assassination doesn't add up to what the Warren commission stated and there was lots of suspicious activity that possibly points to US deep state insiders who wanted JFK removed by any means.

And if the intelligence agencies did in fact kill JFK, as I suspect they did, this truly goes to show the US isn't a democracy and no matter who gets in charge of the US government the leveraging forces behind banks and corporations will determine the fate of the US, not the people.

This is around an hour long Michael Parenti lecture on the JFK assassination with an intro and commentary from a San Francisco radio broadcast from a few years back.

  • Covid19, Socioeconomic Global Power, and Hypocrisies of the Establishment

Two "covidiot" conspiracy theorist writers discuss socioeconomic power and the implications of the medical industry and science now having been granted this enormous power to create curfews and dictate what goes on and in your body, as well as pointing out the myriad of hypocrisies in the actions the powers that be have chosen to take. Enjoy a peaceful session of listening to me futilely rant and Bill remain perfectly calm as we discuss the ongoing nonsense that has been the covid19 "pandemic." Quotes are necessary since the definition is highly subjective.

The power economically to be able to decry "pandemic" has enormous macro and micro economic implications for everyone trapped in modern capitalism and it should be questioned where that power stems from. It makes little sense to view the Covid19 "pandemic" only through the lens of what is best to stymie one particular virus, even if covid19 was the threat they made it out to be via media coverage, it is incredibly short sighted and antithetical to overall good health in most situations to take the blanket uniform actions that the powers that be have since covid became a thing, but not at all surprisingly it has benefited the rich and powerful tremendously, I suppose they will claim that's for our health and well being too.

*This podcast abruptly ended when Bill suddenly died of the lethal Covid19 virus mid-sentence. He will be missed. Damn this virus!

  • Fascism and its ties to Capitalism

This is an interview with Michael Parenti from 1993 with some interesting dialogue on capitalism and how it works with and shares an underlying ideology with authoritarian systems of thought. Industrialists believe they're superior due to their exploitations of people and nature while capturing more power and money for it. And who wouldn't feel superior for taking advantage of people and turning a profit? Ahh, the American dream, impoverish third world countries so you can have more stuff, even the poorest among us have the grand opportunity to participate in this glorious profiteering.

But it turns out that type of arrogance has a lot in common with political leaders who also believe themselves superior to the common person, which is a necessary state of mind for someone to justify sending others off to fight wars while they sit in air conditioned comfort.

The interview runs about an hour, it's good stuff, better than most garbage coming out today, listen to it already.

Disclaimer: Parenti, as I understand his position to be, is in favor of state run communism, whereas I disagree with all 'isms under a nation state or social hierarchy. However his critique on capitalism is supremo fantastico, that means it's pretty darn good if you were confused by all my fancy lingo.

  • The US Deep State

Everyone knows politicians are puppets, but who is doing the puppeteering, how is leverage gleaned to wield power, and how did it get this way. The truth is much different than what is told to us in school and on the nightly news. Wealth inequality, a pseudo-democracy, and endless warfare are not accidents or unfortunate events, they have been planned and controlled over the centuries by those who hold power. Power rules in secret and sells an image to the public that is in stark contrast to the truth.

  • Destination Technological Dystopia

Much needed argumentation regarding the problems inherent with our technology and the futility of using tech to solve our societal and ecological problems. Our techno fixes are band-aids trying to ameliorate the problems created by scientific “progress” itself and industrial capitalism. More tech will not solve our problems and has a high likelihood of making everything that’s already bad even worse.

  • Biden: The Great Liberal Hope! And other digressions

Two toking writers babble for a couple hours about public theater and a familiar character who is being written back into the script, our new savior POTUS, the great Joe Biden, who is again playing the role of the “good cop” persona. If you remember back a couple seasons ago, Biden was co-good cop with Obama who saved liberal souls back then from bumbling bad cop George W Bush. But now, Biden is building back better as the lead great liberal hope, and again, will attempt to save the liberal souls from the clutches of the “bad cop”, played by Donald J Trump, who for four solidly acted years reprised his character widely known as his public persona which we’ve seen in movies, media, and TV shows over the decades and have grown to love to hate. The public can’t get enough of this guy.

Anyways, give it a listen if you feel like hearing us prattle on about Biden, the liberal class, egos, and other digressions.

And apologies in advance for the lack of a proper sign off on the podcast, which spoiler alert, ends abruptly when Bill has to take a potty break. We were out of things to say anyways.
