The developer of a new office scheme on Hills Road is promising to preserve and upgrade The Flying Pig. The pub closed its doors in October 2021 with the railway pension fund RailPen purchasing the Botanic Place site from Pace Investments last summer. Mixed-use developer Socius has planning consent for a 500 thousand square foot scheme, that it says will become the most sustainable and intelligent workspace in Cambridge. Julian Clover speaks to Olaide Oboh from Socius and says there is a desire for a music venue on the site.
