The Sad Girls have finally finished crying about part 2 of Rebecca Makkai's "The Great Pretenders." Well, not quite as they tear up over one of the most beautiful passages they've ever read. This phenomenally nuanced book made Alegra and Erin rethink things they thought they had a solid opinion about, and they walked away praising it as one of the top three greatest books of the year.
