Rebecca Friedrichs is a 28 year veteran elementary teacher in southern California and a former teacher union board members of 3 years. She is currently an advocate for educational polices that are friendly to to children, parents, and teachers. She head a non-profit organization called For Kids and Country that aids and empowers parents with their children's' education. Rebecca is also the author of the book Standing Up to Goliath, where she talks about the devastation to education caused by the unions and the detrimental affects of comprehensive sex education in public schools.
This episode we talk with Rebecca about sex education in California and in other states. Particular attention is paid to the roll of the teacher union and Planned Parenthood in the pressing of the sex education legislation and in its application. The bullying tactics and power politics is discussed as well as ways to combat this Goliath.
