Ermagerd! 17 Jahre ist es her, dass Rebell.at das Licht der Welt erblickte. 2003, als Spielezeitschriften über ihre junge Onlinekonkurrenz noch die Nase rümpften und Rezensionen zurückhielten, um sie auf toten Bäumen zu verkaufen. Seit damals ist viel passiert und wir lassen die Zeit Revue passieren. Wie Rebell zu einer bedeutenden Spieleseite wurde, ein Problem mit brasilianischen Skriptkiddies hatte, warum wir heute statt Games-News vor allem Podcasts machen und was eigentlich das Coolste ist, das aus 17 Jahren Rebell entstanden ist, darüber sprechen Tom, Sigi, Konrad und Georg bei einer gemeinsamen Zockerei. Hach ja, Zombies. Unsere untoten Gesellen sind die wohl erprobtesten Widersacher in Survivalgames aller Art. Und schon seit sieben Jahren treiben sie auch in 7 Days To Die ihr Unwesen. Und immer noch wird das Game munter weiter entwickelt. Grund genug für die Rebellen, einen Ausflug nach Navezgane County zu machen, um sich als Überlebende nach dem 3. Weltkrieg zu beweisen. Warum es erstaunlich einfach ist, versehentlich in Stachelfallen zu springen und wieso jede Crew ihren eigenen Koch dabei haben sollte, verraten euch Sigi und Georg in unserer neuen Episode des Rebell.at Gaming Podcast auf der längsten Gamingcouch der Welt!

Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds – kurz PUBG – beschäftigt uns Rebellen schon seit fast drei Jahren. In dieser Zeit hat der Multiplayer-Shooter zusätzlich zur Ausgangsmap fünf neue Karten bekommen. Trotzdem sind es heute nur vier. (VOODOO!) Die neueste PUBG-Ergänzung heißt „Karakin“, ist erst einige Tage alt und steuert den Hit in eine ganz neue Richtung. Eine gute Richtung? Es ist die Nachricht, auf die viele Spieler jahrelang gewartet haben. Gothic könnte zurückkehren. Ein neues Studio von THQ Nordic in Barcelona hat sich des Projektes angenommen und einen spielbaren Teaser veröffentlicht, der einen rund zweistündigen Ausflug in das Minental von Khorinis ermöglicht. Das Feedback der Fans soll darüber entscheiden, ob und wie die Reihe wiederkehren wird. Dabei hat man nicht einfach den ersten Teil nachgebaut, sondern eine Neuinterpretation geliefert.
