In this episode, we assault Ed's childhood! That goes about as well as you'd expect. Buckle up those supercar seatbelts, we're taking KITT for a ride!  Knight Rider is one of THOSE franchises -- an underachieving classic that Hollywood cannot let go of. It's always been cooler in concept than execution, and has never lived up to the love fans have for it. Yet somehow a new version is always in development. NBC's original series brought David Hasselhoff and William Daniels (Mr. Feeney himself!) to the popular consciousness while putting a bizarre sci-fi spin on the odd-couple police procedural. But after those first five hit seasons, Knight Industries collapsed through three spin-offs and a modern TV reboot. Is there enough juice left in the tank to reimagine a big-screen blockbuster? Or is KITT's OS just obsolete?!  Or...maybe both? Only one way to find out: Reboot it, baby.
