For many people who grew up in the church or who had some familiarity with Christianity, there is an expectation that life with Jesus will be relatively free from the sorrow and suffering of this world. But then when it comes (and it always comes) we panic and wonder where God is. Can we have a more robust theology that prepares us for pain?
