What do you do when the life you fought to build no longer fits—and walking away means letting go of the identity you worked so hard to earn? I’ve had to begin again across countries, careers, love and motherhood: moving to the US at 10 without speaking English, returning to Colombia at 14 without my mother or brother, and beginning again in America at 18; building a successful career and a life that looked like it had everything, then losing it, choosing to leave, navigating divorce and eventually walking away from the professional identity that had defined me; moving to London, finding myself again and becoming a mother.
But this episode isn’t the polished version of those events. It’s about the private decisions behind them—the moments when I had no clear plan, the identities I had to release and the smallest acts of courage that moved my life forward. In the first episode of REBUILT, I’m sharing why this podcast had to exist, what rebuilding has taught me and why the moments that dismantle our lives may also reveal who we are becoming.
What happens when the life you built falls apart—or simply stops fitting?
Everyone celebrates the comeback. No one talks about what it takes to begin again. We do.
REBUILT is a podcast about the moments that ask us to start over. Lorena Armitage sits down with people who have lost, changed, walked away—and found the courage to build what came next.
New episodes every Tuesday.

REBUILT is a podcast about the courage to rebuild—not by returning to who you were, but by becoming who you are now and creating a life that belongs to this new chapter.
Hosted by…
These aren’t stories about people who have everything figured out. They’re stories about the choices, setbacks and small acts of courage that helped someone take the next step towards creating a new life.
Because rebuilding rarely begins with one fearless leap. Sometimes, it begins with the decision not to give up.
Stories of courage. Lives rebuilt.
