The FDA and Kareem Mart announce the recall of  Kareem Chef brand Halva, Halva with Pistachio, and “Halva with Chocolate.  These products could be contaminated with salmonella.  Persons ingesting food contaminated with this bacterium develop serious and sometimes life-threatening gastrointestinal infections.  If you purchased one of these products, immediately dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase.
