Why should you be filled with the Holy Spirit?
• Jesus referred to the Holy Spirit your Helper/Counselor/Advocate. John 14:26
• He will teach you all things and remind you of everything Jesus has said.
• The Holy Spirit will help you know what to say when the time is right. Mark 13:11
• He will teach you what to say. Luke 12:12
• He will fill you with joy just like He did Jesus. Luke 10:21
• The Holy Spirit will empower you to share Jesus and serve others. Acts 1&2
• He will help you speak God’s word boldly. Acts 4:31
• The Holy Spirit will encourage you when you’re afraid Acts 9:31
• He will do miracles and heal people through you. Acts 10:38
• He produces the fruit of the Spirit in your life. Galatians 5
• The Holy Spirit will pour God’s love into your heart. Romans 5:5
• He helps you when you’re weak, helps you pray, and He prays for you. Romans 8:26
• He is your source of peace and joy. Romans 14:17
• The Holy Spirit gives joy in the midst of severe suffering. 1 Thessalonians 1:6
• He guards the sound teaching you’ve received. 1 Timothy 1:14
• He renews you. Titus 3:5
• Holy Spirit gives you gifts to serve other people. Hebrews 2:4
• He softens your heart when it gets hard. Hebrews 3:7
• He will put God’s laws in your heart and write them on your mind. Hebrews 10:15
