This week I talk to Helene Banner, a former senior communication advisor and speech writer at the European Commission who founded “Let's just be imperfect, Ladies” based on her experiences as a young woman in senior meeting rooms and power corridors. 

We talk about our experiences as women and young female leaders trying to adapt, read the power play, and socially accepted ways of being in corporate or politics and how it is exhausting over time. What are the obstacles for showing our authentic selves? Why we believe in the need to share our stories to normalise and bring awareness to the feminine qualities of leadership. How our need to fit in takes us away from who we really are. How we observe that also men are longing for more authenticity and safe arenas to explore their emotional side and allow for more male diversity.
