At which point did you lose your innocence in life? No, not your physical or sexual innocence, your innocence of intent or purpose. When did life first become complicated? It's got nothing to do with reparenting or healing your inner child and more to do with how your current sense of self is how you perceived some defining moments in your childhood, or even later in life. It’s the defining moments that matter, and not what did or didn’t happen to us. But what makes it a defining moment? What ensures that we interpreted it correctly, or that our assumptions about what it meant about life, or the future were accurate?
