You may live your whole life without being recognized for your commitment. And it doesn't mean anything if it doesn't happen ever. Lots of people were not recognized for their successes until long after they were gone.

As far as commitment goes, even I am not as committed as I thought I was.

Sometimes we have these "aha" moments. Mine was when I realized I needed to be more committed.

By talking commitment with you, I was forced to examine my own.

I was forced to look at my level of commitment versus the level of commitment of some of the greats of our time.
