On the road to Emmaus, two disciples walk away from Jerusalem in confusion and grief, only to discover later that the risen Christ had been with them all along. This sermon explores how we, too, often fail to recognize Christ’s presence—not because Christ is absent, but because we are looking for something else. Even in seasons of uncertainty and change, the good news remains: Christ is on the road with us, and one day we may look back and see where he has been all along.
Scripture is read by Bill Eddy (Luke 24:13-35). Sermon by Rev. Beth Demme.
