This is the first in a bonus series I'll be doing to recommend helpful books. First up is the short but powerful book by Allie Beth Stuckey, "You're Not Enough (and that's okay): Escaping the Toxic Culture of Self-love.

This tiny pink book is a powerhouse of blunt truth. I think it rightly offends our self-sufficiency and self-focus and reminds of the gospel--that Jesus' perfection and enoughness allows us to rest and to live our lives our of gratitude and worship, instead of striving and looking to our limited selves for the answers.
