What better time of year to explore the scary, dark corners of grief in our psyches than Halloween?
Whether you’ve ever attempted to share any of your creative work, or never found the time, energy, or courage to do so, you’ve experienced loss. Our culture doesn’t know what to do about capital G grief around death, let alone the myriad losses we all encounter that don’t register on official charts.
When we take the risk to share songs and writing from the depth of our souls and things don’t turn out like we hoped, it’s devastating, and often debilitating. Too add insult to injury, there’s no ceremony or officially acceptable way to process it.
Katie and I believe that it’s essential to actually meet those losses head on in order to move forward to create another day. We did a whole 8 episode podcast series on it (season 2), and on October 25th from 10-3pm, we’re hosting an in-person workshop that provides the perfect space to look down those haunted hallways of our souls.
If you’re in the SF/North Bay area, we’d love to have you join this small group of women songwriters and creatives limited to ten spots. We’ll write, share, snack, and sing our way into the light of a brand new creative day!
See you there!
