Individuals who identify as ennea-type Four and have a heavy wing Three influence are often nicknamed Enthusiast or Aristocrat. As with all Fours, they carry the weightiness of feeling special, but at the same time their uniqueness is additionally shaped by a competitive drive to be the most popular of their peers and seen as the best at their chosen field. There is a genuine ache to be seen and understood by others, but, ironically, the Four cannot trust those connections from others are genuine because of the many masks they themselves have adapted.

For Randy Hall those un-dealt with feelings eventually contributed to a maddening cycle of using multiple substances, both to provide the energy to succeed at super-human levels and then come down from that manic pace.  Whether working as an attorney or a teacher, Randy's experience was one of incessant driving to be uniquely the best while hooked in the addictive cycle, which finally took its toll in dramatic fashion when he acquired Guillain Barre Syndrome.Join us as Randy shares the story of his recoveries from addiction and Guillain Barre Syndrome and explains how he found a path to healing through Buddhist-inspired practices and principles.
