For the "Recovery For Everyone Steps Book": https://www.drdougweiss.com/product/recovery-for-everyone-steps-book/
We invite you to listen to the first episode of Dr. Doug Weiss’s series “Recovery for Everyone.” As a powerful introduction into the popular topic of addiction and recovery for Christians, we launch into the discussion of the term ‘We.’
What does ‘We’ mean? ‘We’ is such a glorious term. ‘We’ is the first word in 12 steps. ‘We’ are in this together. ‘We’ means that you are not the only person that has struggled, millions of people that are in pain and are broken. You are not alone.
In addiction, the term ‘I’ has gotten you in trouble. The ‘I’ brain is the enemy, there is no ‘I’ in RECOVERY (should we capitalize this?). In addiction, you have created a support group that does not allow you to use your ‘We’ brain. You use self-protection, which spirals you into a continuing, self-medicating pattern of ‘I.’
Join us to create your new community of ‘We.’ Join us to start your healing journey in the Kingdom of God. Join us to a new life of RECOVERY.
