Speaking through her experience as human resource personnel she described the HR profession as one that required accountability and a service mentality towards shaping the careers of others. She described the profession as a position where one acts as the middleman the representative of the employees as well as a voice for the employers. Speaking further, she said an HR personnel is supposed to ease the conversation between employers and employees alike. She remarked further saying that the HR position was a very powerful position where one is in the position to hire and fire.

She advised employees to take care to always have a proof of document in dealing with Human Resource issues in the case of a statement or a contract. She, however, expressed displeasure as it concerns owing salaries. Speaking further, she said that the terms between an employer of labour and any said employee were a contractual agreement and as such an employer is supposed to be responsible to his employees. She was also of the opinion that people would often take advantage of labour because of a lot of persons were in search of employment opportunities.

She motioned on employers of Labour to always take their employees’ wages and salaries as a priority and to also endeavour to treat their employees with respect. The discussion also revolved around issues that employers face in recruiting their staff. Speaking on issues employers are often faced she advised them not to get less professional in handling workplace issues despite encounters that might have come across with employees.

She described the relationship between employers and employees as a distrustful one by default as the individual parties cannot determine when the contractual agreement might come to an end and this puts each party on their toes. This she said was responsible for the communication gap between employers of labour and employees. She pointed out the need for employees not to burn bridges in their workplaces or wherever they find themselves.

She continued on to speak about the importance of sourcing channels when looking for a job candidate. To this, she spoke about the gap in skillset where job applicants claim to have a skill set for which they are not well equipped. She went on to point out the need to look out referrals from one’s network of friends and colleagues when planning to recruit someone.

She was of the opinion that recruiting was a daily mindset saying that one just needed to see another person’s work ethics and select him for the job. Speaking on the work culture in Northern America, The Canada-based HR professional described it as different been that there are laws and policies that safeguard the employee's interest.

She motioned to employers to take care as to how they treat their employees as they also have dreams and aspirations. She said that one could not know who was the right person to employ as it was a huge risk but still one needed to look out for available skillsets when recruiting.
