Summary: A hopeful Christian is a joyful Christian

We can be hopeful:
1. Because of what Christ has done

2. Because we will be glorified

3. Because God uses our suffering for good

4. Because suffering drives us to be faithful

5. Because suffering matures us

6. Because we are being made more like Jesus

7. Because God keeps his promises

8. Because God loves us

Summary: Christ came that we may have peace with God.

Summary: God empowers us to grasp Christ’s love for us.
Be anchored in Christ’s love (v. 17b)
Be amazed by Christ’s love (v. 18)
Be growing in Christ’s love (v. 19a)
Be mature through Christ’s love (v. 19b)

Summary: In order to live like Christ, we need to pray for Christ to live in us.
1. Pray humbly to the Father (14-15)
2. Pray for strength by the Spirit (16)
3. Pray for Christ to rule in your hearts (17a)

Summary: The Church is God’s priority, and it should be ours.

1. The Church is the testimony of the gospel of God
2. The Church has always been the plan of God
3. The Church has the freedom to approach God
4. The Church finds joy in suffering for God

Summary: God gives you the grace to do great things for his glory.

The gospel is absolutely worth it! The apostle Paul shows us how it’s worth giving our lives to, worth understanding deeply, and worth making known to others!

In Christ, we are built together as one body for God’s glory.
